An indoor community service team adventure
This is a great activity for groups that want a fun, fast indoor program that can act as a community service as well. This simple, non-physical, but highly engaging program can be in any indoor venue.
This program uses some active game show energizers with a FLORIDA THEME. These “Florida” challenges are very fast, in the 10-15 minute range. How well each team does on these challenges will determine how many tools and advantages you will receive going into the final BIKE BUILD CONTEST.
FLORIDA HISTORY CALCULATOR
Groups must study the key 15 dates in Florida History for 5 minutes. Then each group must touch the history cards in sequential order in the rope circle, as fast as possible. Penalties are given for out of sequence touches or more than one team member in the circle at a time. Teams will have 5 minutes to strategize. Fast and furious.
FLORIDA MATCH GAME
Groups must match up the different Florida species including Dolphins, Sharks, Turtles, Coconuts, Palm Trees, Ospreys, etc. Each team gets a turn flipping cards to go for a match. Team with the most matches wins the most points. Very exciting team memory game.
FLORIDA LIGHTHOUSE
The State of Florida has the most lighthouses in the country due to the amount of coastline. Each team will have to build the tallest lighthouse in 10 minutes using marshmallows and spaghetti. Some time for planning then GO.
BIKE BUILDING DONATION
The last challenge is having all the teams build a children’s bicycle while blindfolded and being coached by your teammates. Fastest bike built team wins contest. Bicycles will be donated to the UNITED WAY for children in need. This is a great way to have fun and give back to the community.
